Badali Jewelry Silver Special Price $109.00 (Normally $124.00)
Inspired from the gothic horror stories Herbert West–Reanimator and The Dunwich Horror by HP Lovecraft, the Badali Jewelry artist Janelle Badali designed and crated the Miskatonic University Class Ring. Each ring is skillfully crafted one at a time in your choice of sterling silver, 14k yellow gold, or 14k white gold. The Miskatonic Ring is carefully hand finished and individually inspected for the highest quality by our staff. The inside of the band is stamped with our copyright hallmark and the metal content - STER (sterling) or 14K, ensuring our jewelry is made of the finest metals.
Miskatonic University is the fictional Ivy league school in Arkham, Massachusetts featured in Lovecraft's Cthulhu mythos. It is said that the Necronomicon is housed in the university's library. The class year on the ring is 1928, the year The Call of Cthulhu was published. The design for the ring was patterned after class rings made in the 1920's from Yale and Brown. The crest on each side of the ring feature Cthulhu's tentacles wrapped around The Necronomicon. Each ring is hand engraved with HP Lovecraft's initials on the underside of the signet.
The Miskatonic University Ring is available in US sizes 6 to 15, in whole and half sizes. Sizes 13 1/2 (13.5) to 15 are an additional $15.00 in sterling silver, an additional $45.00 in 14k gold. The Miskatonic signet ring measures approximately 19.2 mm (3/4") top to bottom. The band measures approximately 4.1 mm (3/16") wide and 3.5 mm (1/8") thick. The ring weighs approximately 14.8 grams in sterling silver, approximately 18.5 grams in 14k gold. The weight will vary with size. The area behind the signet is partially carved out for increased comfort and to reduce the weight.
The MU ring is available with a black antiquing finish - as photographed, or a plain silver or plain gold finish - just the metal, no treatment.
