The ancients believed that runes possessed magical causative and predictive powers. Elder Futhark runes can be used as positive affirmations and worn as a talisman to attract them into the wearer's life. A ring engraved with runes, words or phrases expressing that which you most desire can assist you greatly in attracting your goals and needs into your life. Each of our custom Elder Futhark Rune Rings are skillfully handcrafted to your exact specifications in sterling silver, 14k gold or 14k white gold. Your runes, words or phrases will appear in the symbols of the Ancient Norse Runic Alphabet on the outside or the inside of the band.
Your runes, words or phrases will be written using the runic symbols of the Elder Futhark. Your words and phrases can be translated into Icelandic, the closest modern language to Ancient Norse (ex. Love translates to Ast to 
). We can also go directly from the English spelling of your words or phrases to (ex. Love to 
). If you would like single runes for their specific meanings or have your own prepared translations, enter in the English letter(s) of the alphabet that correspond with your desired rune (ex. 
for Protection = Z).
The runes and spaces will be centered to the front of the ring, leaving any blank space at the back of the band. It is not possible to evenly space the runes around the entire band with this style custom rune ring.
Your ring size will determine the number of runes each ring can hold. The chart below indicates how many characters (runes and/or spaces) can fit on each ring size. Please make sure your runes, words, phrases and spaces will fit on your ring size before ordering. Keep in mind, the inside of the band fits 2 fewer characters than the outside of the band. Some words translate to much longer words than expected. You can view a list of popular words and their Icelandic translations on our Rune Key page. The page also features a chart of the Elder Futhark rune alphabet with the names, meanings, uses, and element of each runic symbol. The custom rune ring is available in US sizes 5 to 20, in whole and half sizes. Sizes 13 1/2 (13.5) and larger are an additional $15.00 US in sterling silver, additional $45.00 US in 14k gold. The rune band measures approximately 6.5 mm (1/4") top to bottom and 2.2 mm (just under 1/8") thick. Weighs approximately 7 grams in sterling silver, approximately 8.8 grams in 14k gold. Weight will vary with size.
The runes are available in your choice of colors. Choose from Black, Red or Plain (No Color).
