The snake eating its own tail, or Ouroboros, has been an important religious and mythological symbol world wide. The snake eating tail symbolizes ideas of recreation of self, resurrection, unity, and infinity. The Ouroboros appeared in Ancient Norse mythology as Jörmungandr, one of the children of Loki, who grew so large that it could encircle the world and grasp its tail in its teeth.
The Snake Eating Its Tail Ring encircles your finger, grasping its tail in its mouth. The ouroboros ring is skillfully handcrafted in sterling silver and carefully hand finished. The viper's eyes are completely carved out to the back of the ring.
The discounted asp ring is available in select US sizes on a first come, first served basis. See our regular listing for all available sizes and options. The ouroboros ring measures approximately 6.2 mm (1/4") wide at the snake's head and 3.5 mm (just over 1/8") wide at the band. The ring weighs approximately 3.4 grams, weight will vary with size. The back of the snake's head is partially carved out to reduce weight and increase comfort. The inside of the band is stamped with our makers mark, copyright, and sterling.
