The signet ring features two creatures from Norse mythology. The dragon Nidhogg climbs up one side of the ring and the snake Jormungandr slithers up the other side. In Norse myths, Nidhogg gnawed one of the roots of Yggdrasil, the World Tree. Jormungandr, also known as the Midgard Serpent or World Serpent, grew so large that it could encircle the earth and place its tail in its mouth. The top of the ring holds your choice of three Elder Futhark Viking runes: Algiz - Protection, Hagalaz - Warrior, Inguz - True Love, or Teiwaz - Strength.
The dragon and snake rune ring is skillfully crafted one at a time by the Badali Jewelry artists in your choice of sterling silver, 14k yellow gold, or 14k white gold. Each dragon signet ring is made to your specification, carefully hand finished, and individually inspected for the highest quality. The inside of the band is stamped with our copyright hallmark and the metal content - STER (sterling) or 14K, ensuring our jewelry is made of the finest metals.
The rune ring is available in US sizes 7 to 20, in whole and half sizes. Sizes 13 1/2 (13.5) and larger are an additional $15.00 in sterling silver, an additional $45.00 in 14k gold. If you would like a quarter size, please order the closest ring size and include the quarter size you want in the special instructions area during check out.
The ring measures approximately 12.8 mm (1/2") from top to bottom, 13.3 mm (just over 1/2") long at the rune tablet, and 4.5 mm (3/16") wide at the back of the band. The ring weighs approximately 11.9 grams in sterling silver, approximately 14.8 grams in 14k gold. The weight will vary with size.
