The Brazen Gear™ plays an important role in Patrick Rothfuss' novella, The Slow Regard of Silent Things™. The Brazen Gear is a heavy brass gear with a missing tooth, worn down and broken with use. The gear sings to Auri of stories, but causes her much consternation. The Badali Jewelry artists created the Brazen Gear as dangle style earrings. The gear charms are skillfully crafted in solid brass and carefully hand finished. Auri's Brazen Gear earrings are officially licensed with the author. Mr. Rothfuss actively participates in the design process for each piece of jewelry we've created.
The gear charms measures approximately 15.5 mm (just over 9/16") long, 14.8 mm (9/16) wide, and 1.7 mm (1/16") thick. The earrings weigh approximately 3 grams (1.5 grams each). The back of each gear is textured, stamped with our makers mark, and copyright symbol. Includes two tone surgical steel ear wires. Ear wires are available in alternate metals if you have an allergy, contact us for more details.
