Smaug, one of the last great dragons of Middle-earth, plundered the Lonely Mountain from the Dwarven Longbeards clan, claiming the treasures within. Among those treasures was the Arkenstone, the Heart of the Mountain. Durin's Folk referred to him as Smaug the Golden.

“So the rumor of the wealth of Erebor spread abroad
and reached the ears of the dragons, and at last Smaug
the Golden came against King Thrór and descended
on the Mountain in flames.”

Details: The brass pendant features Smaug nestled atop his treasured hoard, protectively curled around the Arkenstone. The Arkenstone is a 6mm Swarovski Crystal sphere. The pendant measures 32.7 mm long including the bail, 22.7 mm wide, and 6.4 mm thick at the Arkenstone. The necklace weighs 8.4 grams.

Chain: Includes 24" long gold plated rope chain. Additional chains are available on our accessories page.

A lovely pendant

I buy these items for my wife who is the greatest fan of LOTR. The thoughtful design work and the excellent craftsmanship of each item of jewellery makes it something to be cherished. I would like to point out that with the exchange rate between $Aus and $US being heavily weighted against us we have to pay about 50% more in actual dollars. Still it is worth it. Each item is speedily dispatched and very well packaged and in these uncertain covid times, having opted for UPS delivery, we have the jewellery in under a week. Excellent. The Smaug Arkenstone pendant is wonderful. The detail is very fine and the finish is sparkling. It embodies the scenes from The Hobbit in which Bilbo enters the cave of the Dragon and retrieves the Arkenstone. Once again our thanks to Badali for another lovely jewellery item at a very good price.
