Cirth™ is the sacred rune alphabet of the Dwarves in the fantasy epics The Hobbit ® and The Lord of the Rings™ by JRR Tolkien.  Examples of Cirth can be found around Middle Earth™ on such items as Thrór's map and Balin's Tomb.  The Custom Cirth Dwarven Rune Rings are carefully handcrafted to your exact specifications in precious metal by the Badali Jewelry artists.  The rings are available in sterling silver, 14k yellow gold, 14k rose gold, 14k white gold, or 14k palladium white gold (nickel free white gold).  The ring is a comfort fit style band and is available with the runes on the outside, inside, or both sides of the band.  Our Custom Dwarven Rune Rings are officially licensed with Middle-earth Enterprises.

Using the Dwarvish Angerthas Moria™ runes, the younger form of the Cirth Alphabet, your choice of runes, words, or phrases will be engraved into your ring.  Cirth Runes are phonetic, meaning each rune is associated with a sound.  There are so many ways that Cirth is used in Middle Earth that we need to know exactly which runes you would like used for your ring.  To indicate which runes you would like to appear on your ring, enter the phonetic representation of the Cirth runes from the chart below.  Please separate each rune with a comma (,), use an asterisk (*) to represent where you would like a single spacer dot, or a colon (:) for a double spacer dot.  If you don't want spacer dots between words, just separate each rune with a comma.  See the chart below to make your transliterations.

For example, if you would like your ring to read Balin Son Of Fundin, you would write your phrase using the phonetic spelling for each rune found on the chart as follows:

, separates runes / * indicates a single spacer dot)

This is how the phrase would look when written in Cirth runes:

The Cirth rune rings are available in US sizes 5 to 20, in whole, half, and quarter sizes.  Sizes 13 1/2 (13.5) to 20 are an additional $15.00 in sterling silver or an additional $45.00 in gold.  Your ring size will determine the number of runes each ring can hold.  The chart below indicates how many characters (runes, dots, and/or spaces) can fit on each ring size.  Please keep in mind, the inside of the band fits 2 fewer characters than the outside of the band.  Please make sure your words, phrases, dots, and spaces will fit on your ring size before ordering.

The runes and spaces will be centered to the front of the ring, leaving any blank space at the back of the band.  It is not possible to evenly space the runes around the entire band with this style custom rune ring.

The band measures approximately 6.5 mm (1/4") top to bottom and 2.2 mm (just under 1/8") thick.  The ring weighs approximately 7 grams in sterling silver, approximately 8.8 grams in gold.  The weight will vary with size.  The inside of the band is stamped with our makers mark, copyright, and the metal content (sterling or 14K).
