Frequently Asked Questions
Orders & Production
Almost everything we make is cast to order in our Utah workshop. Plan on 2 to 4 weeks of production time before your order leaves the shop. Larger or custom pieces can take longer, and we will email you if anything on your order needs extra time.
If you need something by a specific date (a birthday, a wedding, a convention), email info@badalijewelry.com before you order and we will tell you what is realistic.
Once your order is cast, packed, and handed off to the carrier:
- United States: 3 to 7 business days, depending on the service you picked at checkout.
- Canada, UK, Western Europe, Australia, New Zealand: usually 7 to 21 days, but customs in some countries can hold a package for weeks. We do not control customs.
- Everywhere else: anywhere from 10 days to a month. Sometimes longer if local customs is slow.
Tracking goes in your shipping confirmation email. Production time is separate from shipping time, so the full timeline from order to delivery is usually 3 to 6 weeks domestic, and 4 to 8 weeks international.
Yes, with some exceptions. We have customers in most of the world, but a few destinations have made jewelry shipping so unreliable that we have stopped offering it.
We currently cannot ship to:
- Mexico — jewelry imports are restricted and packages do not arrive.
- Spain — we have had so many packages returned or lost over the last two years that we have removed it as an option. We are sorry. This is not a choice we wanted to make.
Other countries with strict jewelry or precious metal import rules can also have problems. If checkout lets you place the order, we will ship it, but please understand we cannot guarantee delivery once a package leaves the US.
If your country is not at checkout and you think it should be, email us and we will look at it.
International orders may be charged customs duties, import VAT, or handling fees by your country when the package arrives. Those fees are not included in our shipping cost, and Badali has no way to pay them on your behalf.
If a package is refused at customs or returned because duties were not paid, we can refund the piece minus the shipping cost both ways. Once it is at customs, the timeline is in their hands, not ours.
About the Pieces
Yes. We do not warehouse most of our catalog. When you order, the piece is cast in our Utah workshop, cleaned up by hand, polished, and shipped. That is why production time exists, and it is also why pieces feel like jewelry instead of like merch.
- Charm: a small piece, sold by itself. No chain or bracelet is included. Add one at checkout.
- Pendant, Necklace, or Medallion: comes ready to wear, with a chain included.
Each product page tells you which chain is included and what other chain options exist.
The single best way is to walk into a local jeweler and have them measure you on a metal ring sizer. It takes thirty seconds and it is usually free.
Printable paper sizers are a last resort and they are often off by half a size. If you order a size based on a paper sizer and it does not fit, resizing is available but it is not free, since the piece has to be cut and reworked by hand.
Returns, Repairs & Help
Cast-to-order pieces are exactly that, made for you. We accept returns within 30 days of delivery for unworn pieces in original condition. Custom work is final sale, with the exception of fit issues we caused.
If something arrives damaged or wrong, email us within a week of delivery with a photo and we will fix it.
Usually, yes. Resizing, soldering broken loops, replacing chains, refinishing a piece that has gone dull. Email info@badalijewelry.com with photos and your order number and we will tell you what is possible and what it costs.
info@badalijewelry.com. A real human (usually Hillarie) reads it. Please include your order number if your question is about a specific order, and a photo if it is about a piece you already received. It speeds things up.
