Inspired by The Hobbit ® and The Lord of the Rings™, the immortal works of J.R.R. Tolkien, the Badali Jewelry artists have created Custom Cirth™ Dwarven Rune Rings. Cirth is the sacred rune alphabet of the Dwarves. Examples of Cirth can be found around Middle Earth™ on such items as Thrór's™ map and Balin's™ Tomb. Each Cirth Rune Ring is carefully handcrafted one at a time in precious metal by our staff to your exact specifications. The Cirth rings are available in sterling silver, 14k yellow gold, 14k rose gold, 14k white gold, or 14k palladium white gold (nickel free white gold). The Custom Dwarven Rune Rings are officially licensed with Middle-earth Enterprises.
Your words, runes, or phrases will be engraved into your ring using the Dwarvish Angerthas Moria™ runes, the younger form of the Cirth Alphabet. Cirth Runes are phonetic, meaning each rune is associated with a sound. There are so many ways that Cirth is used in Middle Earth that we need to know exactly which runes you would like used for your ring. To indicate which runes you want on your ring, enter the phonetic representation of the Cirth runes from the chart below. Please separate each rune with a comma (,), use an asterisk (*) to represent where you would like a single spacer dot or a colon (:) to represent a double spacer dot. If you don't want spacer dots between words, just separate each rune with a comma. See the chart below to make your transliterations:
For example, if you would like your ring to read Balin Son Of Fundin, you would write your phrase using the phonetic spelling for each rune found on the chart as follows:
( , separates runes / * indicates a single spacer dot)
This is how the phrase would look when written in Cirth runes:
The Cirth rune ring is available in US sizes 4 to 17, in whole, half, and quarter sizes. Sizes 13 1/2 (13.5) to 17 are an additional $15.00 in sterling silver or additional $45.00 in 14k gold. Your ring size will determine the number of runes each ring can hold. The chart below indicates how many characters (runes, dots, and/or spaces) can fit on each ring size. Please make sure your words, phrases and spaces will fit on your ring size before ordering.
The Cirth runes can be centered to the front of the ring, leaving a blank space at the back of the band, or spaced evenly around the entire band.
The band measures approximately 9.5 mm (3/8") top to bottom and 2.7 mm (1/8") at the thickest point. The Cirth rune ring weighs approximately 16.1 grams in sterling silver, approximately 20.2 grams in 14k gold. The weight will vary with size. The inside of the band is stamped with our makers mark, copyright, and the metal content (sterling or 14K).
