The Emeralds of GIRION - MIRKWOOD™ Elven Earrings

The Emeralds of Girion was a necklace belonging to the last Lord of Dale. The necklace was given as payment for a coat of armor made by the Dwarves of Erebor and was described as being "made of five hundred emeralds green as grass". It was one of the fabulous treasures discovered in Smaug the dragon's hoard. At the end of the Battle of Five Armies, Thranduil the Elven king of Mirkwood, was given the necklace by Bard the Bowman in gratitude for his assistance.

Details: The Mirkwood Elven Earrings are solid sterling silver and are rhodium plated to prevent tarnishing. The Elven earrings dangle from French ear wires. Each earring is set with a 6.5 mm round emerald green cubic zirconia and  measure 20.5 mm long, 12.5 mm at the widest point and 4 mm thick at the gemstone. The earrings weigh 4.2 grams (2.1 grams each) in sterling silver.
