Nenya is described as being made of Mithril, a silver colored precious metal. The Nenya ring features the beautiful leaves of the trees of Lothlorien. Tolkien loved the European Beech and described the leaves of Lothlorien as looking the same. Nenya is also called the Ring of Adamant from the old English word for diamond.

A matching tracer band has been designed to fit on either side of Nenya. We offer the tracer band(s) as a separate ring, or cast in place and permanently attached to the main ring. For more information on the tracer band please check out the Nenya Tracer Band Page.

Metal: 92.5% Sterling Silver.

Dimensions: Measures 8.8 mm from the top of the 1 ct. setting to the inside of the band and 0.9 mm thick at the thinnest part of the band. The width of the band goes from 8 mm at the setting down to 2.5 mm at the back.

Weight: Approximately 4 grams. Weight will vary with size.

Stone Options: The standard stone is a faceted 1 ct. (6.5 mm) Cubic Zirconia. Other options include a faceted 6.5 mm Lab-Grown Ruby (additional $10.00 USD), a faceted 6.5 mm Lab-Grown Sapphire (additional $10.00 USD), a faceted 6.5 mm Amethyst CZ (additional $10.00 USD), a faceted 6.5 mm Green CZ (additional $10.00 USD), a 6 x 4 mm Genuine Moonstone Cabochon (additional $10.00 USD), a 6 x 4 mm Genuine Black Star Diopside Cabochon (additional $10.00 USD), and a 6 x 4 mm Genuine Opal Cabochon (additional $29.00 USD). Due to the nature of natural gemstones, variations will occur from the examples shown. The placement of the eye in the moonstone or star diopside may not be perfectly vertical. A 1 ct. (6.5 mm) Moissanite is also available (additional $449.00 USD). For 3/4 ct. (6 mm) or 1/2 ct. (5.5 mm) Moissanite options, please contact us. Additional stones may be available upon request.

Moissanite Information: A lab-grown stone with more brilliance, fire, and luster than diamonds and cabochon stones. When Frodo™ saw Galadriel's ring, Nenya, in the forest of Lorien™, the stone glittered and shone like it held a star from the heavens. Your Nenya can be set with your own piece of the heavens, a Moissanite, the star-born stone. Discovered a century ago, Moissanite was a new mineral found in an ancient meteorite by Nobel Prize winner, Henri Moissan. It is a now a lab-grown stone that has more shimmering brilliance, fire and luster than diamonds and has an incredible hardness. Please note: Adding Moissanite to your Nenya is a custom upgrade and is non-returnable/non-refundable. It will also add another 1 to 5 business days to the production time, as these stones are not kept in stock and are special ordered for your ring.

Finishing Options: Rhodium-Plated to help prevent tarnishing and skin reactions. You can choose between a Polished Silver or Black Hand-Antiqued Silver (additional $10.00 USD) look. For the antiqued finish, please send us an email or make the request in the "Add order note" section of the cart, and we will send you an invoice for the $10.00 USD.

Size Options: Available in US sizes 4 to 15, in whole, half, and quarter sizes (Sizes 13.5 to 15 are an additional $15.00 USD). Larger sizes may be available upon request. We strongly recommend getting your finger sized at a jewelry store.

Markings: Stamped with our maker’s mark, metal content, and copyright.

The Lore

Unlike the Nine Rings of Men or the Seven of the Dwarves, the Three Elven Rings were never touched by Sauron. Nenya was used not to rule but to protect, preserving the beauty and peace of Lothlórien against the shadow spreading across Middle-earth. It was a ring of quiet defiance, endurance, and grace, carried by Galadriel through the end of the Third Age. When the One Ring was destroyed, Nenya's power faded with it, and Galadriel passed over the sea into the West.
