Described in Norse mythology, the hammer MJOLNIR belonged to Thor, the Norse God of thunder. The Elder Futhark runes on the pendant read from right to left: MJOLNIR, (mo-yol-nir). Mjolnir is commonly thought to mean "That which smashes". Ancient Norse was written from right to left, which is why the hammer's name appears in that order. Wearing the hammer of Thor is an expression of strength and determination.
Details: Thor's Hammer measures 31.8 mm long, 22.8 mm at the widest point, and 5.8 mm at the narrowest part of the handle. The Mjolnir necklace weighs approximately 7.8 grams. The back of the pendant is partially carved out and is stamped with our makers mark, copyright, and metal content.
