Miskatonic University is the fictional Ivy league school in Arkham, Massachusetts featured in Lovecraft's Cthulhu mythos. The design for the MU School Ring was fashioned after class rings from Yale and Brown during the 1920's. The class year on the ring is 1928, the year The Call of Cthulhu was published. The crests on the sides of the ring feature Cthulhu's tentacles wrapped around The Necronomicon, which is said to be housed in the university's library. The area under the signet is hand engraved with H.P. Lovecraft's initials.
Details: The Miskatonic Class Ring is sterling silver with a black antiquing finish. The MU ring measures 19.2 mm top to bottom. The band measures 4.1 mm wide and 3.5 mm thick. The ring weighs approximately 14.8 grams. The weight will vary with size. The area behind the signet is partially carved out to increase comfort. The inside of the band is stamped with our makers mark, copyright, and metal content. This design is copyrighted and designed by Janelle Badali.

The Call of the Ring
I first witnessed the ring adorning the finger of a man I admired in 2014. He was speaking of undertaking some investigation of great import, but my eyes were drawn to slip of silver encircling his knuckle. It was a simple design but pleasing to me. It stuck with me, this curious thing that I could not evict from my thoughts. I had plenty of rings. How could this one be so unique? What was it that drew me so? I happened to be in Indianapolis the next time I encountered the ring. I fought the draw to investigate the booth said to hold the object that had started to haunt my dreams. This ring, I thought, might have deeper designs than I could possibly fathom. The dreams intensified, as though the ring could sense I was weakening. It nestled its way into my bookmarks, until I found myself gazing into it as one would gaze into the abyss. Until finally... I bought it at a size 10. Fits great. Very easy ordering process. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. All in all, an excellent purchase.
